House Construction in our Lao Garden (August & September 2002)
We are building a new house in the garden. The new two-floor house has
living rooms, bedrooms, a new kitchen for the family, and a new kitchen
for the restaurant.
A nicely carved wooden
railing has been installed.
The structure for
the ceiling and the bedroom walls have been installed.
Big windows let the
light come in and offer a gret view to the garden.
The bedrooms are fully
constructed - the walls and ceiling have been built, gypsum board installed
and finished, painting completed, and all electrical appliances installed.
The wooden trim around
the ceiling is finished.
All glass has been installed in the windows on the second floor. Mosquito
screens are not installed yet.
The floor is 80% finished - the contractor should complete the polyrethane
coating in the next few days.
Moving into the new
parent's bedroom.
Polishing the floor
in the working room.
Now the working room is finished an already furnished - ready to use.
The window opens the
view into the living room and to the stairs to the second floor.
The new cupboard in
the working. The window with security.
It that our wedding
album on the tray at the wall?
